"Who Am I" is a game that involves at least two people asking questions to guess what character, person, or animal they've been labelled with.
This is a very simple game and we played it quite a few times. It never got boring and the learners have improved as they learned from each other which questions work well to guess the characters.
Preparing to play:
All you need is some sticky notes and pens.
How to play:
· Every player gets a sticky note and a pen.
· Then everyone writes the name of a famous person or animal on their sticky note, but in a way that no-one can see what has been written. (These can also be some fictional characters such as Mickey Mouse, Superman, Bart Simpson, etc.)
· When everyone has written down a name, stick the note to the person’s forehead who is sitting on your left – or right so that every player has one sticky note with a name on it stuck to their forehead.
· Now the first one starts asking his or her question, but he or she can only use YES/NO questions.
TIP: You could ask questions like: “Am I a woman?” “Am I an actor?” “Do I have black hair/skin?” etc.
He or she can ask as long as the answer is YES. Once the answer is NO, it goes on to the next person, and so on.
End of the game:
Keep taking turns until someone figures out who he or she is. The first one to guess his or her person/character/animal is the winner. The other players continue the game until everyone knows who he or she is.
